Ask the Health Expert: Frequencies & The Body

People have known for centuries that sound has a deep effect on our minds and bodies. From the chanting of Shamans, monks, and drumming, to listening to music, we have been using the power of this phenomenon, Albert Einstein himself stated that “everything in life is vibration.”

Far back in time in ancient Greece, mathematician Pythagoras knew that frequencies had a healing effect in the body. He also discovered the harmonic relationship between mathematics and different musical chords on our physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Each of our organs has its own optimal frequency range and when our bodies interact with frequencies in our environment, they can have a healing or dis-ease effect on your mental and spiritual health.

The international journal of Electrical Electronics and Data Communication has confirmed that every organ has its own frequency-based spectrum. It varies on parameters like environmental, physical fitness etc. and that every organ in the body is linked to the other organs.

It is thought that some people function at a higher frequency level and others at lower frequencies when they have been subjected to extreme stress or unresolved anger for example. These people eventually exude their low frequencies when interacting socially with others and so pass on a “negative” attitude.

It is known that low frequency sounds have been associated with illness, but also with annoyance, lack of an ability to focus and the inability to retain information i.e., memory. This is because low frequencies conflict with our natural body frequencies. The military application of infrasonic sound waves is demonstrated by the use of sonic tanks to induce nausea and dizziness in people when crowd control is needed. In contrast to the detrimental effect of low frequencies sounds can heal the body.

The solfeggio frequencies are known for their role in the harmonies of the Gregorian chants. These frequencies when sung in harmony induce specific states of being which allowed the monks to live within the strict rules of the order, working extremely hard with very little sleep, but without any adverse effects and in complete communion with God. In the sixteenth century it was decreed that a twelve-tone equal temperament tuning method was to be adopted which resonates at 440Hz which is not in harmony with our bodies. As a consequence of this disturbance of the original harmonies in the chants, the order of the Gregorian monks went into a deep decline as the new frequencies altered how the brain reacted to the spiritual significance of their mathematical pattern. Each of the six solfeggio frequencies have special properties, from the liberation from negative feelings, DNA repairs, to spiritual enlightenment.

The most significant of these frequencies is 528Hz the “miracle note” (Mi tone). It is present in everything from chlorophyll to DNA. Chlorophyll vibrates at 528Hz helping plants to draw energy from the sun which also vibrates at this frequency. Even the air that we breathe contains 528Hz resonating electrons. Bees when pollinating plants vibrate at 528Hz. In human studies when a participant listened to the “miracle note” or the “love” frequency, {528Hz} frequency levels of cortisol significantly decreased! The energy of the earth vibrates at this same frequency.

It is believed the body is in harmony when vibrating at 65-75Hz. We are actually generating electromagnetic energy even when still. However, each organ has its own signature ranging from 8Hz in the spinal column, 20Hz to 40m Hz in the head. 60Hz in the chest wall and up to 200Hz in the maxilla. When our environment causes our bodies to vibrate at lower frequencies illnesses appear. Colds and flu are believed to start at about 58Hz and cancer at about 42Hz. Many factors lower our vibration such as, negative thoughts, watching horror movies, watching T.V in general, electromagnetic frequencies from cell phones, computers, microwaves and wi-fi., also GMO, processed foods and exposure to chemicals and pesticides.

Organic foods have the highest frequency at 20-27Hz as opposed to GMO plant frequency of  0Hz. Essential oils, flower essence and homeopathic remedies all have powerful vibrations and frequencies. Rose oil has been measured at 3320Hz and Lavender at 118Hz.

So, what have the centuries of studies taught us? That frequencies are intrinsically linked to our health and wellbeing, despite the fact, that they are so grossly overlooked. There is a magnificently vast and complex framework of vibration that has a ripple effect throughout our everyday lives and we have the option to lean into this powerful healing tool or to be at the mercy of the frequencies around us and allow them to shepherd our health. To this writer, the choice is a simple one.

I found the work of Dr Len Harowitz to be extremely enlightening on this subject as well as the website: mindisthemaster.com
