Holiday Decorating Ideas

Fran and her team from Arthur Cash and Carry have had the opportunity to work together with a local family who have graciously opened their home for them to decorate for the holiday season. This beautiful home was decorated top to bottom for their “Get Inspired” home visit which was part of their festival.

This home, owned by the Checkley’s, is an extensively renovated modern farmhouse and includes all the amenities; stunning vaulted ceilings, big, bright rooms, a gorgeous stone fireplace and a beautiful wrap around porch.

This welcoming centre piece is displayed with simple candle holders and highlighted with red and black plaid ribbons and cushions. Accents throughout the kitchen create a warm country feel.

The living room is set with oversized Christmas bells and trees on either side of the fireplace. This creates a fun and whimsical atmosphere.

It also highlights the fireplace, the focal point of the room on those cold wintery nights.

The plaid theme carries from room to room.

There’s a lot of time spent keeping up with the day-to-day laundry with an active family. The decor flows right into the laundry room helping you tackle the task at hand. With playful gnomes and all that glitters is gold, we wanted to make it a more joyful time.

The primary bedroom gives a forest feel with teals, gold and blues carried throughout the decor.

For the hockey enthusiast of the family. We switch to a black and white plaid in the throws, cushions and tree decorations. Hockey stick decorations give a more “love for the game” feel.
