I completely agree, as this well-appointed shop is not only beautifully decorated, but comes complete with friendly, knowledgeable staff. While it feels very upscale, our owner and her team have ensured that their products and services are priced fairly for all budgets. To begin with the staff is amazing! Cecilia and her sister Melanie are the heart and soul of the business creating it together from the ground up! Enter the groomers and retail staff, and your experience is guaranteed to be something special.

Cecilia, owner of Paws On Main, has on staff some of the best dog & cat groomers in our area, and provides a host of services selected according to your pet’s specific needs. When you visit their website at www.pawsonmain.ca, you can see all the services offered, some catered to specific issues your pet may be suffering from. “Dogs in particular can get into some ‘stinky’ situations, especially in the spring and summer”, explains Melanie. “In order to help owners manage those pesky flea bites, or even worse, the dreaded skunk encounter, we offer specific catered products and services to help you and your pet deal with the issue.”
Want to bathe your pet in a clean, sanitized area yourself? Well, Paws On Main have a self-serve wash station that comes equipped with everything you’ll need. Brushes, shampoos, aprons, towels, and hair dryers are just some of the products supplied when you use the self-serve station, and all for just $10 for a one-hour visit. If you have any questions while bathing your fur baby, Cecilia and her team are right there to help with any info or situation you may encounter. Cecilia has specifically chosen gentle cleaning products, so you can be sure you’re using top shampoos and conditioners, all proven safe for your pet. And if you prefer, you are always welcome to bring your own.

I was initially introduced to the concept of feeding my dogs this way when I first walked through the doors of Paws On Main. I was skeptical, but the level of knowledge the staff shared regarding the product quickly impressed me. With one of my pups, we’ve struggled with food allergies and have tried everything. My sweet boy has been on every prescription diet out there, and just about every allergy medication available. I finally decided to take a chance on a raw diet and within 2 weeks he was clear of all skin issues, the itching went away, and his eyes were clear again. Paws On Main also have treats for pets dealing with specific health issues, and the team is always ready to provide sound advice when it comes to keeping your pet happy and healthy.
Cecilia made sure to let me know that while yes, the space and some of the products they sell can be seen as more high-end, there really are several options for every pet, and for every budget. I must admit I had to get a “pet teepee” for my new little girl last year, and while it initially pushed my budget, the product was not only extremely well-made and my sweet Scout just loved it, it actually looked like it was part of the room’s décor. And from what I can see, all of the products sold at Paws On Main are quality items, so you can be sure you’re getting value.
