Homes, farms, and even businesses come with a lot of tasks to keep them comfortable and operational. Some of these tasks, like changing a lightbulb or tightening a screw are simple, while others such as updating your bathroom or building an addition come with a lot more work. These tasks may not seem challenging if you have the time and skills to complete them, but what happens when they are beyond your abilities? Who do you turn to then?
Anthony’s Handyman Services includes 6 skilled employees with a combined experience of 90 years in the industry. Often, when you start finding “handy” jobs, whether it be your home, farm or business, it can feel as if you need to call in an endless number of specialized businesses to complete each individual task. That’s not Anthony’s Handyman Services. They have the expertise across many different specialties to ensure you only need to make one call. They aren’t in the business just to get one job done and then move on to the next client. Rather, they take the time to build a relationship with their clients, meeting them where they’re at and making sure they understand what each client is looking for. As they like to say, they aren’t a “one and done” company, but rather they are relationship builders.
Their goal today is the same as it was when they started: using their skills to help people in their community complete projects when someone is unable to do the task themselves. No job is too big or too small. Whether you need a hand with the little things like changing a lightbulb you can’t quite reach or the bigger ones like building that addition, they are ready to offer assistance, exactly the way that you envision it.

When it comes to bigger projects, Anthony’s Handyman Services isn’t looking to come in and change your mind. They respect that their clients typically already know what they want. They just need the skill and experience of Anthony’s Handyman Services to help bring it into reality. The only time that they make suggestions for changes is when asked or when it may be in the client’s best interest. They may make suggestions when they know an alternative to an idea that will give the same effect while saving the client money (immediately or in the long run), and if something violates a building code, they will work to get you something as close to your vision as possible while ensuring that it is done right.
Community lies at the core of Anthony’s Handyman Services. They support their neighbours in completing their projects and give back whenever possible through various local charities and active involvement with local not-for-profit and subsidized housing boards. Anthony is a board member on Choices Shelter and Support Services in Dufferin County. He is aware that having a safe and secure home is a privilege that not all have, and values playing a role in making it easier for his community to overcome that challenge.

An initiative that they are excited to be working on, is the creation of a community of affordable housing. The homes, which will be no larger than 1000 sq. ft., are still in design. They are currently working on the legislative requirements that come from such a task. They encourage anyone interested in learning more, getting involved, or donating to this cause which is extremely important to the entire team, to reach out. You can send all inquiries to anthonyshandyman2022@gmail.com.
One area that they are particularly excited to explore more is supporting farms. With experience that includes restoring barns and updating and replacing fencing, including running electric fencing, they are in the perfect position to help support the many farms that stretch across their region in updating the already existing infrastructure. One tip they like to recommend is switching barn lights to LED. This is one area that can save money in the long run, yet many farms miss out on the opportunity.

At the end of the day, Anthony’s Handyman Services enjoy what they do and they have fun doing it. Everyone on the team shares the same objective: providing clients with what they need help with, not just because it’s their job, but also because it feels good to help others, especially those who’d be stuck without their help. No job is too big or too small, and depending on the size, they will travel anywhere in Ontario.
