Picnic Thirst Quenchers


Servings: 1 large pitcher | Prep Time: 10 minutes


  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • ice
  • ½ cup sweetener (agave or honey)
  • 1 litre sparkling water or club soda
  • lime wedges, fresh mint and strawberries for garnish


  • In a blender, blend the strawberries until smooth. Pass the puree through a sieve and collect strawberry liquid in a medium bowl.
  • In a large pitcher, whisk together the water, sugar and lime juice until sugar dissolves.
  • Add in the strawberry mixture, cucumbers, ice and sweetener. Top with sparkling water or club soda. Mix well and sweeten to taste.


Servings: 5-6


  • 1 grapefruit, juiced
  • 1 grapefruit, sliced
  • 4 peaches, sliced
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 bottle white wine of choice
  • 1 cup seltzer


  • Juice 1 whole grapefruit into a large pitcher.
  • Place the rest of the sliced fruit into the pitcher: grapefruit, peaches, lemons, limes, and fresh mint. Pour in 1 bottle of white wine and 1 cup of seltzer.
  • Stir and enjoy!


This picnic punch comes together in minutes and sits for a few hours before it’s ready to enjoy!

  • 10ozs fresh orange juice (3 oranges)
  • 2ozs fresh lemon juice (1 lemon)
  • 4ozs vodka
  • 6 large basil leaves
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • crushed ice
  • orange slices and herb leaves for garnish


  • Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and vodka to a quart jar with a lid. Stir well. Add the basil leaves and mint sprigs, tearing a few as you toss them in. Seal the jar. Shake and place in the fridge for about 2 hours, until chilled. Shake once or twice as it chills.
  • To serve, fill glasses with crushed ice. Strain in the cocktail and garnish with orange slices and herbs.

Wonderfully sweet, tangy, refreshing and bubbly.


  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lb strawberries, hulled
  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cups sparkling water


  • Simple syrup: combine sugar and ½ cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved, about 2-3 minutes; let cool.
  • Put strawberries in a food processor and process until smooth, about 1-2 minutes; strain through a cheesecloth or fine sieve.
  • In a large pitcher, whisk together strawberry puree, lemon juice and simple syrup. Place in the refrigerator until chilled. Serve over ice and sparkling water.
