Old “person” Winter is at it again ……

With this ever changing weather, as we patiently await Spring, we are finding ourselves struggling with wintery blasts that seemingly come out of nowhere.

Here are some very good reminders about keeping yourself safe on our icy roads ….

  1. Have Your Car Serviced for Winter Conditions. …
  2. Switch to Winter Tires. …
  3. Maintain Tire Pressure. …
  4. Check for Changing Temperatures That Could Affect Traction. …
  5. Install Winter Wipers. …
  6. Keep Washer Fluid Full. …
  7. Pack a Winter Safety Kit. …
  8. Keep the Gas Tank at Least Half Full.

The tips above were offered from “Bridgestone Tires”, and beyond those listed there are a couple of “tried and true” lessons passed on for generations:

Clear your ENTIRE car of snow and ice before hitting the road (it is the safest thing you can do for yourself and other drivers on the road).

Make sure all of your lights are working properly – simple but impaerative.

Keep extra warm clothes and blankets in your trunk – you never know when you will need them, and for what.

GO SLOW. How cares about the people who want to push you to go faster. Go at your pace and everyone around you will figure it out for themselves.

Be safe out there!
