As we quickly approach the middle of February, our thoughts look towards Valentine’s Day. It can always be a challenge finding the perfect way to celebrate with your “special someone”, so why not celebrate your hearts, and how healthy they need to be.
According to the Canadian Heart and Health Foundation, “that up to 80% of premature heart disease and stroke can be prevented through your life habits, such as eating a healthy diet and being physically active.”
Fruit and vegetables, whole grains and proteins are on the top of the list of foods that should be a good part of your regular diet.
The great news is that whether your dining out with your “sweetheart”, or reserving a table for 1, this Valentines you can give yourself, and the people you love, the gift of health!
