Inspiration on Display

The Plumber’s Wife, proudly located in Arthur, ON, has been helping people create beautiful spaces in their homes for over 13 years. When owner Paula Coffey first envisioned her business, she knew she wanted quality products that would serve all manner of budget and taste. Paula’s eye for design never disappoints, and as small business owners continue to react and respond to our ever-changing way of living, Paula and her team have created an incredible retail space, filled with countless beautiful items.

One of the nice things about the retail space is that it has been designed to reflect and address every room in your home. Once you walk through the doors, there is no need to go anywhere else!

Bathroom decor, kitchen decor, rugs, wallpapers, candles, beautiful blankets, and soft bedding are just a few of the beautiful home accessories that this large, inviting floor space has on offer. The space has been carefully arranged so that if you know what you’re looking for, that area is easy to find, or you can just decide to wander and gather inspiration for your project.

A new offering that Paula and her team are very excited about is the bedding line. Silk and Snow Bedding, a Toronto-based company, are committed to the use of “eco-friendly” textiles like Egyptian Cotton and European Flax Linen in their bedding. These materials are not only incredibly comfortable, but are manufactured in a more conscientious manner and are more durable than the alternatives. This winning combination creates bedding that are a treat for your sleep, and for the planet.

As you can see from the photos of this gorgeous bedding display, the products are not only comfortable, but are also quite beautiful. The accent blankets, specifically the Handwoven Weighted Blanket and the Alpaca Throws (which just happen to be my personal favourites), are so soft it’s as if they have sleep woven right into them!

Another lovely product just added to the retail space is “Frenchic Furniture Paint”. Frenchic Furniture Paint is a fabulous mineral based paint. The UK company started up just five years ago, and now this brand is sold in over 27 countries and is a very popular choice here in Canada.

The “Frenchic” line includes paint in two amazing ranges to suit your painting requirement:

  • Al Fresco Indoor/Outdoor (Waterproof)
  • Lazy Range

Quite simply this paint is perfect – it’s a dream to work with, leaving little to no brush marks, providing a quick drying smooth matte finish, and it is durable! Add to that the wide range of beautiful colours, and you’ll soon be looking for more things to paint!

Fusion paint is another amazing mineral paint line based out of Toronto. Produced with only the finest ingredients in order to address their concerns for the environment without compromising quality, durability or performance.

The company website says it perfectly “Fusion™ has taken us over 10 years to develop, test and refine, and our hard work has truly paid off. Fusion’s™ results are nothing less than spectacular, providing furniture painters a best-in-class paint that features; an environmentally conscious formulation, zero VOCs, superior durability, easy one-step application and significantly improved strength.”

Paula’s retail floor is packed with all the essentials to make your house a home, a home personalized just for you and your family. While Paula and her team have scaled back their design services, she still provides colour consulting and space planning, which includes room layouts and mood boards complete with product suggestions and/or selections.

The photos here make for a wonderful representation as to what you will find when you visit The Plumber’s Wife. What the pictures can’t show however, is the incredible feeling you’ll get when Paula and her staff greet you, and provide you with an exceptional experience that will keep you coming back, again… and again.
