To all our readers, first off I would like to thank everyone for your emails and accolades that we receive after each edition of our magazine goes out. With all the changes currently happening in the magazine , I hope you like the new feel to our publication . We feature a local restaurant in each Livingspaces and our choice for this edtion is Ray’s 3rd Generation Bistro and Bakery restaurant in Alton Find out what makes them so great!
Within Dufferin and Caledon we have many very talented people in our midst. From the stroke of an artist paint brush in a studio setting to the craftsman making the final turn of a screwdriver adjusting a vanity hinge. We have the pleasure of reading about two very talented artists who have over the years created their styles and explored different avenues to capture unique modes in their works .
I would like to take this opportunity to invite local artists of all kinds to submit work to be published in our new" Creative Note's" section. See Spring 2013 page 2 for details.
Our editorial team has started a contest for the best entry. The winning writer , we will publish your short story in our next edition of Livingspaces and Lifestyles Magazine. There will be a prize for the winning entry of a $140 dinner gift certificate to be enjoyed at the 199 Restaurant in the heart of Orangeville.
Fashion plays a big part in our day to day life and it is echoed throughout the décor in our homes. With spring upon us ,so is a new palette of colors. We certainly don’t have to change room colours every season. However introducing a fresh new color through your accents ,or changing an art piece can give a whole new feel to your room. Bring the spring indoors with fragrant plants or fabrics of your choice to temp your eye. A splash of the hottest new colour can add so much to the mood of your room. you’ll never want to leave when it feels this good.
