From The Publisher
Well here we are again, with another year gone by and a wonderful summer almost upon us. All the birds have found their way back from the South, enchanting us with their songs. The trees are regaining their foliage, and gardens are coming to life. One of my favourite trees in bloom is the beautiful, flowering magnolia; its fragrance can be enjoyed drifting in the cool breeze as you walk by. I noticed a real difference in the temperatures over this spring and it seems to have everyone rushing in preparation for the summer season a head.
This summer we will be focusing on our own back yard .I enjoy gardening and choosing plant material that makes a statement with vibrant color and unique variegated leaves. There is a real enjoyment and sense of achievement when, in the years to follow, I see the development of the vision I hoped to achieve and continue to build on it. I believe gardens can reflect great curb appeal and also say a lot about the home owner’s style.
In this edition we are excited to bring you our feature story of the Woodland House restoration; a beautiful old home in need of some tender love and care which was given by the owners of this century home. Extensive interior and exterior renovations & landscaping have made this home a gem in the hills of Mono.

About The Magazine
Elaine has been serving the communities in and around Guelph/Wellington and Dufferin/Caledon for over ten years. Her advertising publications have always sought to put residents in touch with local businesses and experts, but the growing popularity of home remodeling demands its own resource. Livingspaces is a publication created to meet all the needs of house and home, indoors and out, for local homeowners.
Livingspaces is divided into two parts. The front is a homeowner’s guide, where expert opinion and customer experience come together to create a resource that is both inspirational and educational. There are articles on a variety of topics, covering many aspects of home renovation and redecoration, all of them full of ideas and information that you can take with you to that first professional consultation.
The second half of the magazine is the GoldSource Section, where Livingspaces connects enquiring homeowners with trained professionals. There is a great demand for high-quality design and craftsmanship in today’s home renovations market, and homeowners often don’t realize that many of the experts are in their own community. The Guide is a one-stop resource for all contracting, landscaping, decorating, and other home professionals.
Elaine is proud to be a member of the Guelph and Dufferin Chambers of Commerce, and she is always seeking new ways to communicate with residents and strengthen local businesses. Livingspaces exists to inform and inspire homeowners, and to showcase the work of skilled local businesses.
Livingspaces is a semi-annual publication Published by Focus Publications Group.
